kids olympics 2012

last saturday we put together a neighborhood bbq along with olympic festivities for the kids

 here is our opening ceremonies with lighting of the torch

 we had 9 kids participating

 each kids had their own torch and they ran around the neighborhood to light the next torch

 hooray!!!!!

 each kids also made a flag and they marched down the street

 sydney & sawyer were a little behind

 first event: high jump

 second event: hammer throw (with water balloons)

 third event: archery

 with a water gun

 fourth event: hammer throw

 a water balloon in a plastic sack

 fifth event: javelin with staws (taped together)

 sixth event: relay race water balloon style

 we also played grass volleyball but i was participating so no pictures

 congratulations to all our participants. we had lost the 4 little ones by this time

 yummy olympic cupcakes

 and root beer floats

 we had a few water balloons left over so ryan decided to attack the kids

 it was great fun

 miss livy spent about 20 minutes on this, she did such a great job

we had such a fun time, thanks ryan for putting so much time and thought into. the kids had a blast
