our "campout"

Yesterday we decided to have a fake campout. We started it out with a hike up behind Camel's Back. It was great weather, beautiful scenery and it was good to let the kids "run" out their sugar rush from leftover Halloween candy and a no school day hyper factor.

Here we are at the bottom just starting our hike.

My brother, Toby, came with us. My kids absolutely adore Uncle Toby and Aunt Sandra (Sandra had to work). Thanks Toby for holding some of the kids up the mountain, even though you did almost drop Oscar, it was a good catch!

Daddy got to have Livy on his shoulders for most of the hike. These boys are so tough.

These kids had sooooo much fun running in the dirt.

We found the craziest thing on our hike. You just have to watch the video.

The kids found a huge sand wall. They ran up and down it tons of times.

When we got home we had hot dogs and chips.

The big kids got to end the night with a campout in the tv room and got to watch a movie. It was such a fun night. Thanks for the good idea Ry and thanks for hanging out with us for the night Toby!
