this little princess fell at Fred Meyer in front of a row of customers in the check out lane. she started crying with big alligator tears and insisted on being held.
we walked down the lane to leave only to hear an older GENTLEMAN holler at us to please wait. he was one of the customers that watched it happen. when he got to us he asked to see the injured little girl. when I turned livy to him she got shy and nuzzled her head in my neck. he asked her if she needed a "bandaid" and pulled out this:
i have never seen such a bigger smile on her face before. she took the m & m's and hugged them. we thanked him kindly and he said that her smile was all he needed to make it worth it.
it is nice to know that there are still nice people out there. it's been a good day.

That tugs on my heart strings...goodness knows it's hard enough to get through the day when the kids are having a good day. I'm so thankful for kind people.
