today, oscar & livy were given ali & charlie's old umbrellas. they asked if they could go outside to just stand in the rain. this is what happened only moments later. "we just can't have nice things" (famous phrase at my house growing up)

Love it. Especially Oscar's broken umbrella. And yet he still seems quite happy with it. I love the phrase "We just can't have nice things." That's a good one I may have to adopt.
