I would like to give a tribute to my dad,
Kenneth Gene Shaffer. November 16, 1946 - April 17, 2008.
My Dad was the most amazing man I have ever met. He was the strongest, most hard-working, giving, honorable man. Not a day will go by that I won't think about or miss my dad. I would like to thank everyone who has been so loving and caring during this difficult time. Thank you to the Orchard Ward who loved him so much and for the love that is continuing to be shown at this time, especially for my mother. She is the strongest woman in the world. We greatly appreciate all the meals, cards, phone calls, and hugs. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 24th at the Curtis building next to Borah at 11:00. We invite all who would like to attend to come.
My dad will be missed by more than he knows and ever thought possible. Our lives will never be the same. I am happy with the knowledge to know that he is free of pain and is walking uprightly, the polio will no longer be a bother.
Dad, we love you, we miss you and we look forward to the day that we will be with you once more.

You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. My dad said he was visiting him the day before his passing and that he was a great man. I didn't know him personally but I know for a fact he must have been great to have been the father of such great children.
Tiffany, I am so so sorry for your loss. What a beautiful tribute. Thank you for sharing. We will keep you in our prayers. We love you.

Tiffany,
Sorry for your loss, your family is in our thoughts and prayers. So special that he was able to participate in Oscar's blessing.
Tiffany,
I work with your sister Toni at the university. I'm so sorry for your loss and want you and all your family to know that you are in my prayers. I have heard about all of your family over the years and I know your Dad must have been a terrific guy to have such great kids.
With deepest sympathy,
Jill Watts
I am so sorry Tiffany- I had no idea of this hard time you and your family were going through- which speaks volumes about you! Wow, what a positive person you are. I am so glad you had Oscar's blessing day to spend with your dad. You will be in my prayers.

I LOVE YOU!
I always admired your bond with your dad and I know you'll treasure that forever! I'm so glad that I was able to know him! He had a hand in raising my best friend and for that I thank him!
See you soon sweetie!

Oh Tiff I am so sorry to hear this! Very touching tribute to your dad, and ryan's comments on his blog were wonderful. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Stacey and I are going to try to come to the funeral.
I love you Tiff!

Hey Tiffany, We just wanted you to know we were thinking about you. You and your family are in our prayers. Much love.
Hi Tiffany,
I don't know you, but I found your blog through a friend of mine's (Beth). She had suggested to read a touching tribute.
My husband (Aaron Kindall) and his parents (Dave and Meegan Kindall) have been in mourning for your father since they heard the news. I couldn't believe it when I found your blog. I just wanted you to know they have the nicest memories of him, and have said many prayers on behalf of your family. Warm hugs,
Mistie Kindall
I'm sorry to hear about your dad, but what a great tribute you paid to him. He sounds like quite a man.
Just wanted to add my thoughts and prayers to everyone else. I loved all of the pictures you put up of your dad and I love your wedding dress, that was the first time I had seen it! I'm so glad family and ward family are helping you through this tough time. I think about you and your family every day. My mom was able to attend the funeral, wish I could have been there too!
Love,
Brittney
