day 1 - lagoon!!!!!

we left for our trip on a wednesday night, drove to twin falls to stay with g & g johnson. we took the kids to see the falls. they are huge right now. you actually get a pretty big mist right now.

the next morning we drove to lagoon. we made tie-dye t shirts so we could find the kids faster. it worked great. miss mags was in her seat at the time of this picture. we ended up using ali's camera at lagoon. we decided we didn't want to worry about the big camera.
this was livy's first ride she got to go on. she loved it. charlie was a little unimpressed with the ride and more interested in the map of the park.
let's go for a drive.

so nice of charlie to take his little sister out on a nice drive.
this was a fun one, it is called scallywags. this was charlie's favorite a couple of years ago.
this one was my favorite growing up. love to see my kids riding puff.
have to do the boats. oscar was mad because he didn't want the yellow boat.
the train ride of course.
so hot, we needed an icee. so cute!!!!
not as cute, just funny.
bumper cars were a BIG hit this time. charlie was the perfect height this year. for all the little kid rides he had to be 46" or under and for the big kid rides he had to be at least 46". this was the kids on the the little bumper cars, but he really enjoyed the big kid bumper cars the most.
there's maggie
have to do the merry-go-round at least once.
right after this ride uncle toby convinced ali to go on the colossus and wicked and the spider. holy cow, what a wild woman we have on our hands.

a yummy ice cream cone is a must. livy ate hers, had some of mine and her daddy's and then finished off grandma's. that's my girl!!!!
by this time everyone was hot hot hot. we decided not to do lagoon-a-beach. it is always really crowded and doesn't seem worth the time for us. it's a lot of work getting everyone in and out of swim suits. anyway, we let the kids run around this fountain.
toby is just like one of the kids.

holy cow, that's a lot of water.
livy liked to run around it and feel all the water.
by this time everyone was really tired and ready to be done. we headed to the car, got dressed in dry pj's and headed down to southern utah for the rest of our trip.

My kids want to move to Utah, just so we can spend summers at Lagoon. Hilarious. It looks like you had a great day. Did Gpa and Gma get wet in the fountain? Ha ha ha
