first of all, thank you to all of you who have served our country so we can be free.
we went to the parade downtown, waved our American flags and cheered for our countrymen.
maggie is already patriotic
we let the kids cool off in the fountain down at the grove
they are even patriotic when they are playing in the water
we walked back to the park by the zoo where we actually started our day and took some cute and fun pictures of the kids.
none of ali & charlie, we will have to get them down there soon though. we missed those 2 big kids this 4th of july, they were with their brown dad.
after our busy busy morning of the zoo, a parade, fun in a fountain and pictures in the park we ended with a trip to u swirl. we came home ate an all-american dinner of hamburgers, chips, pork & beans and lemonade. then ryan mowed the lawn and we just put the kids to bed. no fireworks for us this year, with a brand new baby and a 2 year old who is terrified of loud sounds we figure "why spend money on torturing our children when we could do that for free at home?"
